Director David Zucker’s Airplane satire pokes fun of a Michael Moore-type character and his radical left-wing politics.
Kevin Farley, Chris Farley’s brother, plays Michael Malone, a loud mouth, opinionated documentary filmmaker.
His latest endeavor with the subtle title “Die, You American Pigs!” bombs at the box office so he counters by coming up with the bright idea of banning the Fourth of July.
Loosely based on the classic A Christmas Carol, a trio of spirits visits Malone to help him change his ways.
A lot of good actors show up in cameos: Kelsey Grammer, Dennis Hopkins, Jon Voight, James Woods and country singer, Trace Adkins.
Zucker uses crude and over the top comedy to get his point across, and sometime it actually works.
