Popular pop star Prince tries his hand again after his successful debut movie, Purple Rain. He plays a nightclub owner who showcases the musical numbers that he is famous for. Prince wore all hats for this film; he wrote, directed, starred and wrote all the music. When a star attempts to stretch his talent in many directions, something suffers. In this one, the story is confusing andIngrid Chavez and Tevin Campbell performances are amateurish. The music is upbeat and fun, but only diehard Prince fans will enjoy this one.
