What I knew about teen idol Justin Bieber prior to seeing his film, is probably about the same as anyone older than l6 does. I knew that he was cute, a pretty good entertainer, and that he had matted down, side swept hair.
But, this concert film shows the teen to be much more. It describes his unusual start in the music business through YouTube videos, which led to an interview with music talent agent Scooter Brawn, and the important 2007 meeting with Usher - and the rest as they say, is history.
With some good home movies and stage appearance clips, we get a feel for the young man's range. He sings, dances, plays guitar and is pretty good on a set of drums (who knew?). We also get to know this high energy talent through his circle of friends, family and people in the business.
As the film closes in on his big Madison Square Garden concert date, I realized its not just his voice or his looks which put him at the top, but its also his happy, carefree personality, which is quite contagious.
