How could two little girls survive alone in a cabin deep in the woods with no heat or food for five years? We are left to ponder this very question when the long-missing children (minus their father) are discovered alive.
 
The sisters are eventually reunited with their Uncle Lucas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and his girlfriend Annabel (Jessica Chastain). Unknowingly, Mama (the mysterious apparition who was watching over the girls)- has also tagged along.
 
We now have a haunted house film complete with strange noises, blinking lights, creepy music, and the eerie weirdness of standard horror fare.

A complete waste of mega-talented Jessica Chastain.
 
Nothing really new or truly imaginative here… Mama is implausible to the extreme.
