If you have visions of Pathfinder as another Conan, or Troy with gothic battles, great music and a script you will be disappointed.
A thousand years in the past the story revolves around Viking raiders doing their version of ethnic cleansing. They don't take prisoners or even plunder, they just kill anyone who is not Viking. As part of that process a young boy is abandoned at a battle site.
When the boy becomes a man he is very much his father's son. When the Vikings return he kills invader after invader. While we might have been hoping for a story in which the child had the potential to return to his roots no time is spent on that much of a script.
Filmed with a blue hue, a little like but not a effective as Warner Color in the fixities, and little dialogue, with mountains that are not consistent with the location of the action, the film is nearly impossible to become involved with.
