Sidney Deane (Wesley Snipes) and Billy Hoyle (Woody Harrelson), Cheers team up and run a con on public basketball courts in Venice Beach, Watts, and South Central Los Angeles.
They are two men who continue to play a boy's game and act like adolescents, becoming angry at every basket and insulting the ancestry of each other. There is little to the script and not much excitement in the basketball. Rosie Perez, the choreographer for the Fly Girls on the TV show In Living Color, plays Billy's Hispanic girlfriend. She is the character with the most life. Her appearance on "Jeopardy" is the best part of the film.
