It's hard to believe, but this is Larry the Cable Guy's third film. This time he plays a small town deputy sheriff who has always wanted to be an FBI agent.
He gets his chance to be a hero when he thinks that a sexy woman named Madeleine (Ivana Milicevic) who is being protected by the FBI to be a witness, is being held against her will.
Larry thinks that the men who are guarding her are working for the villain, so off he goes into action to "save" her.
Some pretty good actors are along for the ride. Yaphet Kotto plays the lead FBI agent, along with Eric Roberts, and Joe Mantegna as a wacky doctor.
There's plenty of silliness that follows Larry wherever he goes. He blows things up, has body cavity searches and slapstick pratfalls as he tries to outrun the agents. Larry the Cable Guy is one of the most successful stand-up comedians, and his type of grade school humor has a following, however I find it difficult to explain!
