What happens when a struggling author who drafts a book which includes the names of his friends as characters in a plot by the Red Brigade to kidnap Aldo Moro, the former Prime Minister of Italy?
Filled with twists and turns and using the true life murder of Prime Minister Moro, this script had a chance to be exciting and dramatic. It is, however, slow and plotting, filled with dark scenes and scenes which appear to be travel logs rather than necessary for the film. Perhaps the relation to facts hurt the script and the pacing leaves nothing which cannot be anticipated by the audience.
Even the effect of what is designed to be a shocking scene near the end falls blandly one screen. Too bad; this had the potential but not the fine hand directing it to make a believable thriller.
